Job DescriptionSalary:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Act as support and backup to the Payroll Specialist
Perform weekly payroll review
Learn the new payroll software and assist in transitioning (Software currently being selected)
Review of new hire documentation to ensure all employee data has been set up accurately
Respond to payroll-related inquiries, emails, phone calls, etc.
Work closely with the current Payroll Specialist and other personnel throughout the company
Assist in audits
Assist in year-end payroll-related tasks
Organize payroll records in BOX.com
All other tasks as required
Skills and Experience:
Two to three years of payroll processing experience in a high-volume environment
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (Testing upon interview)
Ability to meet demanding deadlines
Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Adapts to changes easily
Professional demeanor with colleagues
Attention to detail and accuracy
Construction payroll experience is a plus
Familiarity with Unions, Certified Payroll, and Prevailing Wages is a plus
Education:
High school diploma required
Knowledge and skills at a level generally acquired through completing an associates degree are preferred.
Other:
In Office Work hours Monday Thursday 7:30 5:30, Friday 7:30 11:30 NO REMOTE WORK
Ability to work overtime when needed
Little to no travel
