Our client is seeking a hands-on Canvass Manager to lead, train, and motivate a team of canvassers and field trainers to generate high-quality leads through door-to-door outreach. This role balances 50% field coaching with 50% program development and administrative oversight.

Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance

Responsibilities:

  • Set and track daily and weekly lead generation targets.
  • Provide on-site coaching, motivation, and quality control in the field.
  • Develop canvassing routes and territory plans to ensure optimal coverage.
  • Monitor lead quality, appointment set/show rates, and conversion metrics.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of 8–10 canvassers plus 1 field trainer.
  • Maintain compliance with local regulations, permitting requirements, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams for campaign alignment and lead handoff.
  • Integrate digital tools (Canvass Master app) for tracking, reporting, and performance analytics.
  • Ensure all canvassers follow approved scripts, brand messaging, and professional standards.
  • Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, performance, and customer engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • 3+ years of experience in canvassing, door-to-door sales, or field marketing.
  • Motivational, results-driven, and able to plan strategically and pivot in the field.
  • Ability to walk up to 10 miles per day, work outdoors in varying weather, and carry light materials.
  • Proficient in digital canvassing software (e.g., Canvass Master, Ecanvasser, SalesRabbit).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; all education levels considered if experience is strong.

Success Metrics:

  • First 90 days: Focus on culture fit, team integration, learning systems, and building trust.
  • First 6 months: Increase canvassing output from 2.0–2.2 to 2.5–3.0 leads/day, support regional sales goal of $1.2M–$1.6M/month, and improve lead quality and conversion.

Must-Have:

  • Valid California driver's license.
  • Hands-on leadership and team coaching.
  • Fieldwork experience with door-to-door or canvassing programs.
  • Proven ability to elevate performance and manage a team of 8–10 direct reports.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with Sacramento region or similar local markets.
  • Prior experience in construction, solar, security, or related field marketing.
  • Experience integrating digital tools and performance metrics into field campaigns.
