Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
On-Call: None
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Overview:

CNA will work in a Long-Term Care (LTC)/Subacute Skilled Nursing Facility providing patient-centered care as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role involves direct resident care, rehabilitation support, and ensuring compliance with state/federal documentation standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care (ROM exercises, ambulation, transfers, feeding assistance, hygiene, vital signs, etc.)
  • Follow patient care plans and restorative nursing orders
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition
  • Record intake/output and bowel movements
  • Assist with post-mortem care and room changes
  • Float between units (vent, rehab, post-op, COVID, etc.)
  • Care for subacute rehab patients (post-surgery, stroke, MVA, hip replacement, etc.)
  • Work with COVID+ patients (required)
  • Pass facility competency exam during first week


Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years CNA experience in LTC setting (required)
  • Must be willing to float
  • Experience with geriatric/disabled population preferred
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of approved CNA program
  • Active NJ CNA license (required)
  • BLS (AHA) required
