Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in an outpatient surgery center requiring a CA RN license and strong ophthalmology background.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Outpatient surgery center adjacent to a main hospital facility
- Work in the PACU setting, specializing in Phase I and II recovery
- Patient ratios are 1:2
- Primary patient population consists of outpatient surgical cases with a focus on ophthalmology
- Day shifts, Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 16:30
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Floating may be required between facilities within the state
- Charting is completed using Meditech
- RNs are responsible for providing PACU care to post-operative patients, with an emphasis on cases involving ophthalmologic procedures
- Expected to work in Royal Blue scrubs
- Free parking is provided onsite
- Minimal to no time off is allowed and all requests must be included at the time of application
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Candidates living within a 50-mile radius are considered local
- All travelers may be required to float to other facilities within the state
\n \n Requirements\n
- Active CA RN license required and must be in hand at the time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of recent PACU experience including both Phase I and II recovery
- Strong background in ophthalmology is required
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- No pending licenses accepted
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must submit references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable PACU or surgical setting
- Returning former perm staff must have a 3 month gap and live more than 50 miles from the facility
