Stamping Press Setup Operator
in Brooklyn, OH 44144Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm
$30-35/hr based on Skills, Abilities, and Experience
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Stamping Press Set-Up Operator to join our production team in Brooklyn, Ohio. This position is responsible for the precision setup and safe operation of both single-hit and progressive stamping presses. The ideal candidate will ensure that production runs efficiently, meets all quality specifications, and complies with strict safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate stamping presses, including die installation and adjustments
• Load and feed material (coils, strip) into the press
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision tools
• Troubleshoot press and die issues, perform routine maintenance, and minimize downtime
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and machine guarding protocols
• Maintain accurate setup and production documentation
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality staff to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of stamping press setup/operator experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus)
• Strong knowledge of stamping dies, tooling, and press operation
• Proficient in blueprint reading and use of measurement instruments
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Safety-focused with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks

Working Conditions

• Industrial manufacturing environment
• Standing, lifting, bending, and handling materials up to 50 lbs.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) required
• Multiple shifts available; overtime may be required
