We're hiring a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, school-based position in Newport News, VA for the 2026-2027 school year. This itinerant role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse K-12 student population while collaborating with educators and related service providers to support student success.
Position Details
• Full-Time Position – 37.5 Hours Per Week
• 2026-2027 School Year
• Itinerant Position
• K-12 Caseload
• Approximately 70 Students
• Response to Intervention (RTI) Support for Articulation Services
• Collaborative School-Based Environment
Responsibilities
• Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy services to K-12 students
• Deliver RTI support and intervention for articulation needs
• Develop and implement IEP goals and individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with teachers, psychologists, occupational therapists, and other related service providers
• Maintain strong case management practices and accurate student records
• Monitor student progress and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Virginia SLP License or eligibility for licensure
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• School-based experience preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines
