Job DescriptionAccounts Payable Clerk (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Vernon Pay: $23-$24/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday | Full-Time

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to support high-volume invoice processing and vendor payment activities. This contract-to-hire role offers an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced accounting team with potential for long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and code high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents.
  • Prepare and assist with weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments.
  • Review invoice discrepancies and work with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues.
  • Maintain organized electronic and paper records of invoices and payment documentation.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting as needed.
  • Support audits by providing documentation and reconciliation support.
  • Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.

Pay Details: $23.00 to $24.00 per hour
