Job Title: Housing Navigator
Location: Boothwyn, PA
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $21.00 – $26.00 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Housing Navigator to support individuals and families experiencing homelessness in securing stable housing. This role is ideal for someone who is resourceful, relationship-driven, and passionate about making a direct impact in the community.

The Housing Navigator will work closely with clients, landlords, and community partners to identify housing opportunities, remove barriers, and support long-term housing stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure housing opportunities for individuals and families experiencing homelessness
  • Build and maintain relationships with landlords, property managers, and housing providers
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and landlords to support successful placements
  • Conduct housing needs assessments and develop individualized housing plans
  • Assist clients with housing applications, documentation, and subsidized housing processes
  • Maintain an up-to-date housing directory and track all landlord interactions
  • Enter and manage client data, case notes, and housing plans within HMIS
  • Monitor housing placements and provide ongoing support to ensure stability
  • Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to coordinate services
  • Facilitate housing readiness workshops and provide financial wellness education
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual program reports
  • Attend community meetings, trainings, and networking events

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field OR
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in housing, property management, real estate, or a related field
  • Experience working with homeless or vulnerable populations preferred
  • Knowledge of Housing First principles is a plus

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to advocate effectively for clients
  • Highly organized with strong documentation and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with HMIS or similar systems is a plus
