Role Overview
The Warehouse Associate supports daily operations by maintaining organized inventory, stocking service trucks, and ensuring plumbers have the materials they need to serve customers efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, hands-on work, and learning the inner workings of a growing trades business.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Warehouse Operations
- Receive, organize, and stock plumbing materials, tools, and supplies
- Maintain clean, orderly, and well-labeled warehouse storage areas
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory audits
- Identify low-stock items and help prevent material shortages
Truck Stocking & Requisitions
- Stock service trucks according to standard truck-stock lists
- Fulfill part and material requisitions from plumbers and field crews
- Ensure accurate tracking of parts issued and returned
Vendor Ordering & Receiving
- Place parts orders with approved vendors based on requisitions and inventory levels
- Receive, verify, and put away incoming deliveries
- Report discrepancies, damaged items, or backorders
Fleet & Support Duties
- Occasionally drive company vehicles or take trucks for scheduled service or inspections
- Assist with basic shop tasks and operational support as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials (up to ~50 lbs)
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable using basic technology (smartphone, email, inventory systems)
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in a warehouse, trades, construction, or inventory role
- Familiarity with plumbing parts or willingness to learn quickly
- Interest in creating systems, organization, and process improvement
