Primary Reporting Location: Roseville, CA. Occasional same-day travel to Stockton or other regional branch locations may be required.

Precizion Partners is a Roseville, CA based demolition and remediation contractor focused on private and public infrastructure projects across throughout California & Northern NV. The Company has three operating companies (demolition, hazardous materials abatement and hauling & disposal services and presently operates out of facilities/yards in Stockton, Concord, Woodland and Sacramento. The business focuses both on service work (sawcutting and C&D waste hauling) as well as larger projects. The Company is financially backed by DCA Partners, a lower middle market growth oriented private equity firm focused on investing in expansion stage companies.
Job Summary
Under direct supervision of the Controller and Accounting Manager, the Payroll Specialist serves as a key piece in processing all aspects of payroll for our construction workforce. This position requires a strong understanding of construction payroll processing, including union and non-union payroll, certified payroll reporting, prevailing wage compliance, hours verification, job costing, and bilingual fluency in Spanish. This role requires a high attention to detail, excellent organization and customer service skills, and is deadline driven. The incumbent is also expected to assist with various other aspects of the business, such as ensuring office supplies are stocked, opening/distributing mail, and assisting with employee onboarding items pertaining to the accounting department.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Process weekly payroll for field and office employees, including union and non-union employees.
- Certified Payroll Assistance: Assist with preparing and submitting certified payroll reporting in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., Davis-Bacon Act, DIR).
- Prevailing Wage Tracking: Accurately track prevailing wage rates, fringe benefits, and job classifications.
- Payroll Recording: Maintain and reconcile payroll records, including timecards, deductions, garnishments, benefits, and time off.
- Addressing Employee Inquiries: Responds to and proactively addresses inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and timekeeping.
- Bilingual Onboarding Assistance: Partner with Human Resources in communicating with Spanish speakers during field employee onboarding to ensure that all information regarding direct deposit, mailing addresses, and tax information is recorded accurately and promptly in new hire packets.
- Union Compliance: Assists with ensuring that the company complies with labor laws, union agreements, and company policies.
- Audit Assistance: Assist with audits and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilities:
Ensure the office stays stocking with essential items, such as office supplies, water, and kitchen items. Perform a small number of tasks related to office administration. - Miscellaneous: Perform other assigned duties as required.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or equivalent in relevant experience.
- Experience: Experience processing payroll within the construction industry.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in various financial software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual/ Spanish Fluency:Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders. Spanish fluency highly desired.
- Attention to Detail:High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
- Time Management Skills: Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
