Vice President of Product Development & Project Management
Job Description
The Vice President of Product Development & Project Management will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer and play a critical leadership role in driving the design, development, and delivery of enterprise technology initiatives. This position is responsible for ensuring that product strategy is closely aligned with organizational priorities and that major technology programs are executed with operational rigor, measurable impact, and cross-functional alignment.
The VP will oversee both product development teams (engineering, software, digital experiences) and project management functions (PMO, business analysts, change management) to ensure that technology investments deliver maximum business value. This is a hybrid position with flexibility to work remotely; however, local presence is preferred for key meetings and strategic planning sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development Leadership

Define and execute the enterprise technology product strategy in alignment with business objectives and organizational growth plans.

Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate strategic goals into actionable product roadmaps.

Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, including concept, requirements gathering, design, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.

Ensure product initiatives are data-informed, member-centric, and aligned with overall technology and business priorities.
Project & Program Management

Lead the enterprise Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure disciplined planning, execution, and reporting of strategic initiatives.

Establish and maintain standardized project management frameworks (Agile, hybrid, or waterfall as appropriate) to ensure consistency and accountability.

Monitor and manage dependencies, risks, costs, and KPIs across the full project portfolio.

Strengthen alignment between delivery teams and product owners to ensure on-time, on-budget execution of initiatives.
Organizational Leadership

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of product managers, project managers, and business analysts.

Serve as a strategic liaison between business functions and technology teams, ensuring clear requirements, effective prioritization, and accountability for outcomes.

Champion a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and data-driven decision making within the technology organization.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong knowledge of enterprise product development and program/project management (Agile, hybrid, and traditional).

Required Experience, Education & Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field preferred.

Proven track record of leading product development and project management functions for enterprise-scale initiatives.

Extensive experience with Agile and hybrid project delivery methodologies.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence at the executive level, and deliver measurable business impact.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a strategic mindset.

Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, with periodic in-office presence for critical meetings and collaboration.
