A Special Education Teacher position is available in Sacramento, CA, serving middle and high school students in grades K-12. This opportunity is for the 2025/2026 school year with a direct hire placement at a well-established K-12 school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to diverse student needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Provide specialized instruction and interventions to students with disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all applicable regulations and policies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and growth.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential or certification.
- Experience teaching students in middle and high school settings.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, strategies, and classroom management techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
