Seattle Sustainable Landscapes is a family-owned business known for creating beautiful, sustainable outdoor spaces year-round—and for making the holiday season shine with our professional Holiday Lights Division. From rooftop displays to cozy porch lighting, we bring joy to homes and businesses across Seattle during the holidays.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Seasonal Operations Manager to lead our Holiday Lights Division during the busy season. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, isn’t afraid of heights, and thrives on making things festive and fun. You’ll be leading a small team (1–2 crew members to start), with the potential to oversee multiple crews (2–3) as the season progresses.
This is a physically active role that includes installing holiday lights, climbing ladders, getting up on roofs, and ensuring each client’s vision is brought to life. While no prior holiday lighting experience is required, you must be organized, able to communicate well with clients, and ready to learn—we’ll provide all the training you need.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily holiday light installation and takedown operations.
- Safely work at heights using ladders and roof access.
- Organize and manage your crew’s daily assignments.
- Conduct brief client walkthroughs to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain a positive, “make it jolly” attitude with both clients and crew.
- Assist in coordinating schedules, equipment, and inventory.
Qualifications:
- Comfortable with heights, ladders, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours during peak holiday season.
- No prior experience necessary—we will train you.
- Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required.
- Bonus points if you are a photographer, tradesperson, or seasonal worker looking for extra income during your slower season.
- Desire to return in future holiday seasons is a huge plus!
