Assignment Type: Per Diem (as-needed)
Position Responsibilities:
- Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially within the classroom setting
- Deliver 1:1 or small group assistance as directed by teaching staff
- Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and active participation
- Implement behavior support plans and adhere to IEP guidelines when applicable
- Aid mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 18 years
- TB test clearance per school requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and provide lifting assistance as needed
- Current clearances or willingness to obtain prior to start
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Background in education, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
- Experience working with special needs students, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Training or certification in CPI, PMT, or RBT (preferred but not required)
- Reliable, patient, and collaborative team player mentality
