Job Function and Scope
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting onsite manufacturing operations in Milwaukee, WI. This role involves maintaining production equipment through preventive maintenance and resolving mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues. The technician plays a key part in ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency across production lines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Diagnose, Repair, and Install Machine Components (40%)

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Utilize blueprints, equipment manuals, OEM specifications, and technical support to resolve equipment downtime.

Perform installations and modifications as needed to support production requirements.

Perform Planned Preventive Maintenance (30%)

Conduct scheduled lubrication, inspections, and mechanical maintenance on facility and production equipment, including foundry, machining, plating, injection molding, and polishing systems.

Maintain accurate records and manage parts inventory.

Contractor and Engineering Engagement (20%)
-
Collaborate with contractors and internal support staff to ensure timely completion of projects, installations, and system upgrades.

Assist engineering in developing and implementing improvements to eliminate inefficiencies on the production floor.

Other Duties as Assigned (10%)

Support additional maintenance and operational activities as directed by leadership.

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Two years of work experience in a maintenance role or coursework toward Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic Technology

Experience in industrial equipment repair within a manufacturing environment

Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred:
-
Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field

Exposure to PLCs and automation systems
-
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, manuals, and correspondence

Able to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group settings
-
Proficiency in basic and advanced math, including decimals, fractions, and geometric calculations

Ability to apply logical thinking to solve problems

Capable of interpreting and following instructions in various formats (written, verbal, diagrammed)
