Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ESN (Extensive Support Needs) Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school district in Los Angeles, CA. This role focuses on working with students who require significant academic, behavioral, and functional support in a structured classroom setting.
Responsibilities
Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Utilize evidence-based strategies to support students with moderate to severe disabilities
Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and general education staff
Manage classroom behavior using positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS)
Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs
Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
Caseload Details
ESN classroom (students with extensive support needs)
Small caseload with paraprofessional support
Mix of academic, functional life skills, and communication goals
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field
Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential (or ability to obtain)
Experience working with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
Strong classroom management and collaboration skills

Compensation for this position ranges from $28.34 to $48.34. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
