You will play an integral role in ensuring that our projects run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.
Role Overview:
The Solar Foreman will oversee the day-to-day operations of our solar installation team, ensuring tasks are completed on time and according to the highest standards. You will manage the crew, ensuring timely arrival at the warehouse and job sites, maintaining and organizing materials, and taking care of company trucks. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both technical expertise and strong team management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a crew of solar installers, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Ensure the crew arrives at the warehouse and job site on time daily, maintaining punctuality and productivity.
- Ensure work orders and photo documentation for solar projects are complete.
- Oversee the condition of company trucks and ensure they are clean, well-maintained, and stocked with all necessary materials and tools for each job.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure job requirements and timelines are met.
- Maintain inventory of materials, ensuring adequate supplies are loaded onto the truck for each project.
- Ensure all safety protocols and best practices are followed during installation.
- Provide training and mentorship to crew members, fostering growth and development within the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in solar installation or a similar field, with at least 3+ years of leadership or foreman experience.
- Ability to bend EMT conduit and install various electrical components.
- Experience installing Enphase, Tesla, and SolarEdge systems.
- Strong understanding of AC and DC circuits and the differences between them.
- In-depth knowledge of different mounting systems, including rail and rail-less systems.
- Expertise in troubleshooting solar system issues, including electrical and performance-related problems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience managing work orders and photo documentation for solar projects..
- Ability to manage a team and communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in maintaining vehicles and managing job site logistics is a plus.
