Job DescriptionJob Title: Junior AccountantLocation: Hillsboro, ORJob Type: Full-Time, Contract to Hire, Fully OnsiteSalary: $25-$30 an hour DOEWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Junior Accountant to support our clients team in maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing compliance with accounting standards, and driving financial insights. This is a contract role ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a proactive approach to process improvement and reporting accuracy.Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare journal entries and contribute to general ledger reconciliation processes
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and balance sheets
- Perform data entry for purchase orders and invoices
- Participate in payroll expense tracking and budget formulation
- Respond to internal inquiries related to financial transactions
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting and/or Finance (Required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP (Required)
- 1+ years of relevant accounting experience, including AP/AR responsibility (Required)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
