Responsibilities
- Provide registered nursing care for a designated group of patients during the shift, using the nursing process and aligned with the medical plan of care and input from patients and families.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans, incorporating patient education and discharge planning as part of the overall plan of care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the health care team; coordinate delivery of care to patients of any age appropriate to the unit.
- Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on current clinical competence and scope of practice.
- This position is represented by CNA.
Requirements
- Active California RN license in good standing
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in a travel assignment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to provide care across age groups as assigned and to adapt to shift schedules
