Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the implementation and management of the project quality control program and performance of daily QA/QC responsibilities to ensure proper coordination and construction that also meets project standards and requirements. The position will work directly with both internal and external team members to provide document review, coordination, and implementation during the project duration.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains project quality records for the construction phase of the project and quality audit plans, performance, and management thereof.
- Monitors the implementation of the approved site QC Plan; not limited to construction activities and reviews materials and equipment delivered to the project for adherence to specifications.
- Creates, documents and distributes all QA/QC plans, checklists, inspections, completion lists, punch lists, and reports.
- Conducts regularly scheduled QA/QC meetings, review logs of Deficiencies, Punch List, etc. and provides documentation and meeting minutes.
- Uses data collected to identify means of reducing deficiencies and improving overall quality, and provides action remedial responses.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned or requested by immediate supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of five (5) years of concrete construction industry experience is required with proven abilities and expertise in the structural and light commercial. A BS Degree in Construction Management is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of QA/QC best practices and regulations and ability to create plans and programs.
- Must be technically proficient and knowledgeable about the concrete construction industry, ability to effectively interact with project team members, clients, subcontractors, and craft employees; and must be capable of obtaining or possess inspection licenses and/or certifications as required.
- Must be well organized, diligent, and be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and to independently identify work to be done.
- Must be flexible and can adjust to sudden changes in work priorities.
- Attention to detail and extreme care in performing tasks accurately and carefully are essential.
- Must be able to wear safety gear (PPE).
- Ability to respond appropriately during emergencies.
