About the Role

We’re seeking a Client Accounting Services Manager who can oversee client deliverables, support and mentor bookkeepers, review monthly financials, and serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients. The role is hybrid with 2 days remote and 3 in person.
Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee day-to-day bookkeeping operations for a portfolio of clients.
• Review financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, YTD reports) prepared by bookkeepers for accuracy and completeness.
• Serve as the main client contact for assigned accounts — handling questions, clarifications, and deliverable timing.
• Supervise and support the bookkeeping team; ensure deadlines and checklists are followed consistently.
• Assist with onboarding new clients (QBO setup, chart of accounts review, software integration).
• Implement and improve internal workflows, communication, and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with the owner on process optimization, client experience, and new service rollout (advisory, tax, etc.).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong background in client accounting services: financial statement preparation, month-end close, year-end close with adjustments, reconciliations, and management reporting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other CAS tech tools.
• Experience managing multiple client accounts and reviewing work prepared by others.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills — able to stay on top of many moving parts.
• Comfortable in a hybrid environment with strong self-management skills.
• Prior experience in a bookkeeping or accounting firm required.
