Job DescriptionFull-Time Registered Respiratory Therapist Overview:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist delivers direct respiratory care to patients based on physician directives and acts as a valuable resource for other healthcare professionals. This position requires completion of an accredited respiratory care program, along with the necessary licensure and certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Key responsibilities include collaborating with physicians, administering respiratory therapy with specialized equipment, and assisting critical and emergency care teams.

This role involves providing direct patient care across all facets of respiratory therapy, following physician orders. You will consult with physicians regarding the effectiveness of treatments and serve as an advanced resource for both physicians and nursing staff concerning respiratory care. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Position Details:
- Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate from a CoArc accredited Respiratory Care program.
- Licensure: Must meet state licensure requirements and possess a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
- Experience: No prior experience required.
- Certifications: Must hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For those working in the Emergency Room, PALS certification is required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 10 lbs, and perform minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Equipment Used: All relevant respiratory care devices.
- Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Preferred Experience: Critical care experience is advantageous.
- Preferred Certifications: Additional certifications are a plus.
