Registered Nurse Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) | Dillon, SC | Contract Opportunity

A busy acute care hospital in Dillon, SC, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide critical care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This position offers a day shift schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Ideal candidates will be comfortable floating between like units and facilities within scope, in alignment with current staff expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the MICU, maintaining a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Utilize electronic health record systems (Epic) for accurate patient charting and documentation.
• Respond efficiently to patient needs and emergencies while adhering to hospital protocols.
• Participate in holiday rotations and occasional floating to sister units as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current South Carolina nursing license or Compact license active prior to start date.
• Minimum of one year, preferably two years, of critical care nursing experience.
• Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIHSS certifications.
• Previous experience as a traveler is required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
• Flexibility to work a block schedule if approved in advance.
• Willingness to float within the facility and nearby locations within a 60-mile radius.
