Job DescriptionJob Title: Shipping and Receiving ClerkJob Description

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the daily movement of materials and products. Primary tasks include receiving incoming shipments, inspecting goods for accuracy and quality, and organizing inventory in the warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Count, weigh, and check inbound and outbound materials.
  • Report any shortages or damages to materials.
  • Follow the FIFO inventory system.
  • Assemble orders for production or shipments.
  • Count, weigh, and check against work orders.
  • Manage inbound and/or outbound freight.
  • Maintain accuracy in consignment, finished goods, raw material, and corrugated warehouse.
  • Deliver and tag materials to work stations and stock, maintaining accurate weights or piece counts and identification on all materials and products.
  • Enter data into computer terminals to track and control inventory.
  • Audit and correct warehouse stock.
  • Keep aisles and work areas clean and orderly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
  • Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes.
  • Experience using inventory systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
