An opportunity is available for a knowledgeable Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential services in a K-12 educational setting for the 2020-2021 school year. This contract position offers the chance to impact young lives through targeted speech and language therapy, supporting students across various grade levels. Preference for caseloads can be provided based on openings, allowing for a tailored assignment that fits your expertise and interests.
Key Qualifications:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; consideration given to those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience or interest in pediatric speech-language pathology within educational settings
- Ability to deliver services via teletherapy, reflecting flexibility in service delivery
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff
Location:
- Services will be provided in school facilities located in Helen, Cleveland, and Cornelia, Georgia, with the primary position stationed in Toccoa, GA.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for K-12 students
- Deliver direct therapy services, both in-person and through teletherapy platforms as necessary
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with educational and clinical guidelines
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student success and integrate therapy goals with educational objectives
Compensation:
- $66 per hour for SLPs holding the CCC credential
- $64 per hour for Speech-Language Pathologists currently in their CFY
Employment Details:
- Contract duration: August through May for the 2020-2021 academic year
- Two open positions with interviews taking place over the current and next week
