You won’t just manage records—you’ll drive quality, compliance, and innovation across our health information systems. Your work ensures accurate, timely, and meaningful clinical documentation that directly supports better outcomes for children and families.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and develop a high-performing medical records team

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all clinical documentation

  • Design and oversee audit systems, reporting tools, and quality initiatives

  • Identify trends, gaps, and root causes—and turn insights into action

  • Serve as a data privacy and HIPAA compliance leader

  • Collaborate with clinical, IT, and leadership teams to improve EHR workflows

  • Drive clinical documentation improvement (CDI) efforts

  • Oversee Release of Information (ROI) processes

  • Educate staff and promote best practices in documentation excellence

What You BringMinimum Requirements

  • Age 20+

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management (HIM), Business Administration, Nursing, or a Social Services/health field or equivalent related experience required. Master’s degree in HIM, Business Administration, Nursing, or a Social Services field preferred.

  • Valid Driver’s License & Auto Insurance

  • 3+ years in:

    • Medical records / Health Information Management and/or

    • Clinical role in mental health / psychiatric / residential settings

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems

    • HIPAA and regulatory compliance

Preferred

  • LBSW (with Bachelor’s)

  • Licensure (with Master’s) through Kansas Behavioral Services Regulatory Board or Kansas State Board of Nursing

  • Experience with:

    • Clinical documentation standards

    • Supervisory or management roles

    • Data analysis & reporting

    • Microsoft Office Suite
