Shift: Night | 3x12-Hour Shifts
Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: Rochester, New York (facility details confidential)

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse – MS/Tele provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced medical-surgical telemetry unit. This role requires strong clinical judgment, telemetry monitoring expertise, and the ability to respond effectively to cardiac and medical emergencies.

Scheduling & Work Requirements

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend

• Holiday requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, as needed

• RTO / Special scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of submission

• Client may cancel up to three shifts during a 13-week contract without penalty

• First-time travelers accepted

• Local candidate restriction: RNs must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Licensure & Certifications

• Active New York State RN license required (NY is not a compact state)

• Pending licenses not accepted

• BLS certification required

Required Clinical Skills

• Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing with cardiac monitoring

• Interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias

• Emergency response participation (Rapid Response / Code Team)

• Oxygen therapy including nasal cannula, oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway support

• IV therapy and peripheral line care/management

• Phlebotomy and specimen handling

• Isolation precautions and infection prevention practices

Unit Details

• Patient Ratio: 1:5

• Floating: Required within scope of competency

• Charting System: Epic (experience required)

• Scrub Color: Navy blue and white combinations
