Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist-I to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Derry, NH 03038
This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Location: Derry, NH 03038
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, rotating Saturdays every 4 weeks
Pay Range: $17- $21 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling with precision and care.
- Ensure proper identification of patients prior to blood collection.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
- Accurately label and document specimens for testing in accordance with medical terminology standards.
Job Requirements:
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws using appropriate gauge needles while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Label, process, and transport blood specimens accurately and efficiently in compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
- Verify patient identification and maintain accurate documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Prepare and maintain phlebotomy equipment and supplies, ensuring proper sanitation and readiness for daily use.
- Communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff, providing compassionate care and addressing patient concerns during blood collection procedures.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification is required
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience REQUIRED.
- One (+) year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
- Customer service in a retail or service environment is preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.
