Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for dedicated Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Dillon, SC. This contract position runs through the current school year and requires onsite presence. The role involves working with diverse learners in both early childhood and high school environments, providing specialized instruction and support tailored to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in self-contained classrooms for PreK students aged 3-4 years.
- Manage a caseload of students requiring special education services in a resource setting at the high school level.
- Collaborate with staff and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Meet physical demands of the role, including lifting and active engagement with students.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to student progress assessments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active South Carolina Teaching License with Multi-Categorical and Early Childhood endorsements.
- Experience working with PreK and high school special education students.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavior management.
- Ability to work effectively onsite, engaging with students in a classroom setting.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
