We are looking for an experienced HR Director to join our team in Portland, Oregon, on a contract basis through the first week of November, with potential for extension. This role is critical in overseeing human resource functions, ensuring compliance, and fostering positive employee relations within the organization. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in non-profit or healthcare settings, along with a strong understanding of HR operations.


Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of employee relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts to promote a positive work environment.

• Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and legal compliance.

• Administer HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining personnel records.

• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, implementing policies that adhere to industry standards.

• Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support the organization's goals.

• Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, fostering a culture of trust and engagement.

• Utilize Paycom software to streamline HR processes and maintain accurate records.

• Manage benefit functions, including enrollment, updates, and employee communications.


• Proven experience in employee relations, with the ability to handle sensitive situations effectively.

• Strong familiarity with HR systems, including Paycom, and their application in daily operations.

• Previous experience in non-profit or healthcare industries is essential.

• Expertise in managing compensation and benefits programs.

• Ability to ensure HR practices align with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
