Job DescriptionPatient Services Coordinator

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90033 (100% On-Site)
Duration: 6-Month Contract (ASAP Start) - Strong Potential To Extend of Convert to FTE
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Department: Pain Management | Renowned Private University Medical Enterprise
PAY: $25/hour

The Pain Management Department is seeking a highly organized and patient-focused Support Coordinator to manage front desk operations and administrative tasks. This individual will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced outpatient setting and supporting key functions such as scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and patient check-in/check-out.
Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients at the front desk

  • Schedule appointments and procedures

  • Collect copays and verify insurance eligibility

  • Process referrals and prior authorizations

  • Handle check-out procedures and follow-up scheduling

  • Ensure all required insurance authorizations are obtained for procedures

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in a similar administrative support role

  • Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and front desk operations

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience using Cerner EMR

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Experience in a high-volume clinic setting
