Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available within a Severe Therapeutic Academy focused on a Non-Verbal Classroom setting for students in grades 9 through 12. This contract role is designed for educators passionate about making a meaningful impact on high school students with significant therapeutic and communication needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students with severe therapeutic challenges
• Utilizing specialized teaching strategies to support non-verbal learners
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to address students' academic and behavioral goals
• Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment
• Tracking student progress and adjusting instruction to meet evolving needs

Qualifications and experience desired:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification with experience at the high school level (grades 9-12)
• Proven ability to work effectively with students requiring therapeutic support and alternative communication methods
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with therapists, families, and staff
• Patience, creativity, and dedication in developing a tailored learning experience for each student
