Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

The Warehouse Worker supports production by safely removing finished product from the line, machines, and equipment, then stacking it onto pallets, boxes, or conveyors. This role uses hand tools and material-moving devices, maintains accurate labels and production records, and flexibly rotates to different areas of the plant based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Remove finished product from production lines, machines, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Stack product onto pallets, into boxes, or onto conveyors using hand tools and moving devices.
  • Record production output, downtime, and other required data accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all labels are correct, legible, and properly affixed to products and cases.
  • Perform general labor tasks such as packaging, stacking, and material handling as needed.
  • Assist with order picking and preparation of products for shipment or further processing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in accordance with plant standards.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures while working around food products and equipment.
  • Lift and move cases, bending and stacking for up to 8 hours per day as production requires.
  • Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality problems promptly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse, production, or food manufacturing environments is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with order picking and preparing products for shipment is an advantage.
  • Comfort using basic hand tools and material-moving devices such as pallet jacks or similar equipment.
  • Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic in previous positions.
  • Attention to detail when labeling, recording production data, and handling finished goods.

Work Environment

This position is based in a food manufacturing facility with a production-focused warehouse setting. The workday follows a first-shift schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with overtime available from time to time based on business needs. The environment includes exposure to strong food-related odors, such as tomatoes or vinegar, depending on the area of the plant. Work involves standing, bending, lifting, and moving cases for most of the shift, as well as operating around production lines, pallets, and conveyors. Employees handle finished food products and must follow strict safety and sanitation practices at all times.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
