Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher working with preschool-aged children in the Camden Wyoming, DE area. This contract role focuses on supporting young learners (ages 2-5) with diverse disabilities, including Autism and Developmental Delays, throughout the school year. You’ll play a crucial part in their early development, designing individualized learning experiences that foster growth and inclusion.
Your expertise will help guide students and their families, and you’ll collaborate with a caring multidisciplinary team. This full-time opportunity includes a 37.5-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, and runs through June 9th, 2026.
Qualifications:
- Valid Delaware Early Childhood Special Education Certification (Birth - 2nd Grade)
- Proven experience working with preschool-aged children with disabilities (Autism, Developmental Delays, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and special education best practices
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of young learners
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct instruction and support for preschool students with varying needs
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to ensure progress
- Track student growth, maintain accurate records, and write regular progress reports
- Create engaging, play-based lessons targeting social, emotional, and academic development
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development as required
