Pay: $130,353 – $180,520 Annual Salary

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Services to provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for a high-volume surgical services department. This role will oversee surgical operations, staff development, quality initiatives, budget management, and service line growth while ensuring exceptional patient outcomes and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee daily operations of Surgical Services, including Operating Room, PACU, Pre-Op, and Sterile Processing functions.
• Partner with executive leadership and physicians to drive surgical volume growth and service line expansion.
• Support implementation and optimization of advanced surgical technologies and robotic surgery programs.
• Oversee surgical throughput, block scheduling, patient flow, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, quality, and patient safety standards.
• Develop and manage annual operating budgets, capital planning, and financial performance initiatives.
• Monitor labor productivity, staffing plans, scheduling, and workforce utilization.
• Lead, mentor, and develop managers, supervisors, coordinators, and clinical staff.
• Promote employee engagement, retention, and professional development programs.
• Analyze operational metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and surgical service performance.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or approved equivalent educational plan.
• Minimum 3 years of Surgical Services Director experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative operations, budgeting, staffing, and quality management.
• Experience overseeing Sterile Processing operations.
• Experience with robotic surgery programs and advanced surgical technologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and operational management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's Degree.
• Experience supporting pediatric, women's services, orthopedic, or neurosurgical programs.
• Experience managing high-volume surgical departments.
• Experience implementing new surgical technologies and service line growth initiatives.
