Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a certified Special Education Teacher to support a 3rd-grade inclusion classroom in Brockton, MA. This full-time, contract position starts ASAP and runs through June 17, 2026. The role involves managing a caseload of 10-15 students with diverse learning needs, working collaboratively alongside another Special Education Teacher to deliver effective instructional support and individualized accommodations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to students with special needs within an inclusive 3rd-grade classroom setting.
- Collaborate closely with fellow Special Education teachers and general education staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress, document educational outcomes, and adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
- Foster a supportive, engaging learning environment that promotes academic and social development.
- Participate in team meetings and parent communications to ensure consistent and effective student support.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching Certification.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting preferred.
- Strong collaborative skills and commitment to inclusive education.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
