Job DescriptionChemical Plant Technician
Step into a hands‑on role where your work directly supports the production of specialty chemicals used in plastics and wastewater treatment. As a Chemical Plant Technician, you’ll be part of a tight‑knit team that values safety, teamwork, and continuous learning.
What You’ll Do
- Keep plant operations running safely and efficiently across utilities, bulk storage, and warehouse areas.
- Operate machinery and equipment while performing routine tasks that support daily production.
- Monitor gauges, valves, and instrumentation panels and communicate findings clearly.
- Handle and measure materials, including 10‑kilo bags, using basic math to track plant data.
- Perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and moving between buildings in varying weather.
- Follow safety procedures and emergency protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and leadership through clear verbal and written communication.
- Use forklifts, scales, power tools, and hand tools to support production and maintenance needs.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical or electrical issues to keep equipment functioning smoothly.
What You Bring
- Experience with machine operation and mechanical processes.
- Knowledge of chemical or batch mixing, blending, calibration, or material handling.
- Comfort with physical work including lifting, sealing, inspecting, and general labor.
- Background in process manufacturing involving liquids, powders, or both.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chesterfield, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
