Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are seeking an experienced Long-Term Care Pharmacist-in-Charge for an 8 to 13-week contract assignment with the potential for permanent placement. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with leadership experience to oversee a busy LTC pharmacy and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
Position Overview:
As the Pharmacist-in-Charge, you will supervise staff pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, manage daily production, and ensure accurate and timely dispensing of prescriptions. You will evaluate workflow processes, implement improvements, and maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, including controlled substance management and USP 797 standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise staff pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, managing daily production and workflow.

Ensure staffing and processes support accurate and timely prescription dispensing.

Evaluate workflow and implement changes to improve efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Oversee all CII ordering, inventory control, and dispensing, ensuring proper documentation.

Maintain the 797-Compliance program, including training, documentation, and program updates.
Shift:

Monday Friday, 8-hour shift within 7:00 AM 7:00 PM

Typically 1 weekend per month
Requirements:

Active and clear Minnesota Pharmacist License

Minimum 2+ years recent LTC pharmacy experience

Minimum 2+ years recent pharmacy management experience

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
