Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing friendly, efficient service
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions smoothly and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with accuracy using POS systems
- Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks, including assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed
- Manage time effectively to handle busy periods while maintaining high service standards
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and food handling procedures in a café or food industry setting
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in serving beverages and food
- Experience with serving, cashiering, or retail math is advantageous
