Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 school setting in Monument, NM, on a contract basis for the 2025-2026 school year. This position involves working within a school district where caseloads range between 65-70 students, with assistance provided by Assistant SLPs when caseloads are higher. The schedule is full-time at 37.5 hours per week, serving 1 to 2 school buildings. The role requires providing direct therapy services to students as well as collaborating with educational staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Manage caseloads efficiently, with support from assistant staff as needed
  • Document student progress and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educators and administrators
  • Use the districts designated IEP system, with training provided upon hire
  • Maintain compliance with district policies and procedures, including those related to certifications and fingerprinting

Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification appropriate for school settings
  • Experience working with school-aged children (K-12)
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility to participate in virtual interviews (Zoom) and provide services across 1 to 2 school sites

Location: Monument, New Mexico
Contract Dates: July 22, 2025 May 28, 2026
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
