Michael Anthony’s Cucina Italiana and The Market Cafe are located on the south end of Hilton Head Island, SC, established in 2002, operates a fine dining Italian restaurant, café, cooking school, specialty market, event and catering services. We are an independent family owned business in the process of expanding our operations. We are currently seeking a reliable and versatile Line Cook to join our team! This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced kitchen environment and is comfortable working across multiple stations and locations. AM and PM shifts available.
About the Role:
As a Line Cook at Michael Anthony’s, you are at the heart of our culinary execution. Working across our sauté, grill, or pasta stations, you will turn high-quality, fresh ingredients into beautiful, perfectly cooked dishes under tight time constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Station Excellence: Set up and stock stations with all necessary prep according to recipe specifications and kitchen standards.
- High-Quality Execution: Cook, plate, and finish dishes exactly to order, ensuring perfect temperatures, seasoning, and presentation.
- Speed & Stamina: Handle high-volume ticket rushes with composure, precision, and clear communication with the expo line.
- Kitchen Care: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary station throughout the shift; properly break down and sanitize stations at closing.
Qualifications:
- Previous professional experience working the hot line in a scratch kitchen or upscale restaurant environment.
- Proficiency in knife skills, pan control, and understanding meat temperatures.
- Ability to follow complex recipes and take direction in a fast-paced, hot kitchen environment.
- ServSafe certification is a plus.
