Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare opportunity is available for a skilled Radiological Technologist in Van Wert, OH, focused on delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This position involves working evening shifts with an every third weekend schedule, serving inpatient acute care patients in a hospital environment. The role requires proficiency in a variety of imaging procedures across the ER, inpatient, and outpatient settings, including experience with specialized equipment such as GE mobile and fixed radiology rooms, as well as C-arm devices for surgical imaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain and document clinical history and lab work to assist licensed practitioners.
- Position and immobilize patients appropriately, ensuring comfort and accuracy of imaging.
- Apply radiation safety standards to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
- Operate radiographic equipment and perform diagnostic X-rays with attention to image quality.
- Assist with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, adhering to aseptic surgical techniques as needed.
- Administer contrast and medications as prescribed.
- Ensure all documentation, including informed consent and patient dose, is completed accurately.
- Collaborate professionally with physicians, technologists, and patient families.
- Utilize PACS and electronic health record systems for imaging and data management.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Minimum of one year inpatient acute care experience preferred.
- Proficiency with C-arm technology and familiarity with operating room/surgical imaging procedures.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Experience using Radiology Information Systems and EPIC EHR preferred.
- Valid state licensure as applicable.
