Responsibilities
- Lead research and trend analysis to evaluate target markets, identify opportunities, develop strategic recommendations, enhance analytical capabilities, and guide other analysts.
- Serve as a subject matter expert by monitoring and analyzing legal, regulatory, competitive, and market developments, evaluating business impacts, providing actionable recommendations, and guiding related analytical efforts across the team.
- Lead and provide guidance in the development and maintenance of policy forms, notifications, manuals, and marketing materials.
- Lead and collaborate in the development of rates, rules, and form filings, guiding the efforts of others and serving as a resource for filing strategies, analysis, and execution, with limited oversight.
- Partner with IT to implement system enhancements, develop requirements and testing plans, identify and implement system improvements, and guide the efforts of others in requirements and testing initiatives.
- Lead internal reporting and analytical initiatives using industry and Company data, providing guidance and oversight to others involved in reporting and analysis activities.
- Develop state proposals, providing strategic recommendations and supporting analysis.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in personal lines insurance, including coverage concepts, rating procedures, and underwriting philosophies.
- 3-5 years of experience developing in-depth analysis, insurance knowledge, product development expertise and project efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field of study, required.
- Superior analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency using software to extract, analyze, organize, and communicate data to support decision making – advanced Excel skills required, SQL or Power BI experience a plus.
