Job Summary:
The Senior Recruiter will support the Talent Supply team and is responsible for attracting, recruiting and hiring world-class leaders for high-impact roles in our business. The Vail Resorts Talent Supply team is focused on Line of Business aligned sourcing and drives repeatable process execution and continuous improvement while also serving as strategic talent partners to candidates, hiring managers, and business and HR leadership.

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $56,485.00 - $77,427.41
  • Employment Type: Year Round
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain understanding of business function priorities, structure and roles, critical skills, and optimal candidate profiles.
  • Complete intake calls with hiring managers to review, analyze, and clarify job specifications/requirements, competencies/skills required, understand business operations, and develop a recruiting approach to fulfill each acquisition need
  • Single point of contact for the Hiring Manager
  • Accountable for filling the role with quality candidate(s) within agreed upon time to fill SLA
  • Partner with recruiter, who will complete phone screens with candidates, on ideal candidate profile
  • Coordination with internal candidates
  • Review profiles for all successful candidate phone screens
  • Present candidate slate to Hiring Manager review
  • Consult with the Hiring Manager team after interviews to support the selection
  • Source for passive candidates when application flow is low or applicant quality/mix does not match talent strategy across all hire types (seasonal and year-round) within the supported function
  • Proactive talent sourcing and talent pool building to get out front of needs
  • Partner with Manager to assess hiring and application pacing for all hire types (seasonal and year-round) within the function
  • Take on additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned to support team and organizational objectives

Job Requirements:

  • Professional talent acquisition experience involving full-lifecycle recruiting – 5+ years
  • Solid knowledge of recruiting best practices related to structured hiring, evaluation of candidates and selection decisions. Experience facilitating candidate discussions with hiring teams.
  • Process improvement mindset; the ability to identify areas of opportunity and act on them both proactively and continuously.

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $56,485.00 - $77,427.41. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment where employees living within 50 miles of the Broomfield office work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays. Employees living outside of a commutable distance can work remotely from British Columbia, Washington D.C., and the 16 U.S. states* in which we currently operate. This includes: California, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Utah, Vermont, Washington State, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
