Job DescriptionWe are seeking an energetic and experienced ELA and Math Teacher to join our team! This is not a homeroom teaching position. Instead, the role focuses on providing individualized one-to-one instruction for approximately 10 students daily, much like a tutoring model, within a supportive school setting.
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years classroom teaching experience and the ability to tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with learning challenges. Please note: Paraprofessional or Pre-K experience alone is not adequate for this position.

Responsibilities
- Provide individualized, one-to-one instruction in ELA and Math using school-approved, research-based curriculum
- Adapt curriculum and materials to meet the unique learning needs of each student
- Encourage the development of students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Prepare and organize necessary learning materials
- Use visuals, movement, and hands-on strategies to support instruction
- Assess student progress on an ongoing basis and maintain accurate records
- Document student learning and growth
- Collaborate with colleagues and school personnel to ensure a cohesive educational experience
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and goals
- Collaborate with Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to ensure a cohesive learning experience for each student
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education from an institution approved by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in ELA and Math in grades K-4 is required; Please note: Paraprofessional or Pre-K experience alone is not adequate for this position.
- Strong understanding of child development and best practices in education
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with non-verbal or limited language students is preferred
