Diversified Labeling Solutions, Inc. (DLS) is seeking an experienced manufacturing Customer Service Manager to join our Duluth, GA team. This position combines customer service and administrative support responsibilities to ensure customer needs and company objectives are met. This is a customer focused position that is very challenging and rewarding for someone who enjoys a fast paced, detail-oriented manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be both an analytical problem-solver and an empathetic team builder, capable of elevating the customer experience while leading a small, but high-performing, department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work effectively as part of a management team that is committed to producing a quality product, providing superior customer service and meeting operational objectives in a safe and clean working environment.
- Provide hands-on support and process management to the Customer Service department.
- Lead and manage Customer Service personnel by monitoring performance, providing ongoing performance feedback and training, managing employee timecards and handling disciplinary issues.
- Ensure a positive, impactful customer experience by coordinating activities between Customer Service Representatives and DLS manufacturing in an efficient and effective manner.
- Act as an escalated point of customer contact by responding to customer order inquiries, concerns or corrections in support of the customer service team, as necessary.
- Provide order entry support, as needed, to ensure the timely entry of customer orders.
- Create, maintain and submit customer specific reports.
- Be the customer voice for the production schedule to ensure orders are shipped on time.
- Process administrative tasks in support of the production team.
- Utilize critical thinking, problem solving and computer skills in a printing environment.
- Maintain a positive work environment that supports high employee morale.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing customer service operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing and mentoring a successful team.
- Excellent customer service skills with a high degree of mathematical aptitude, attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members of all levels.
- Proficient computer skills (ERP, Microsoft Suite, etc.)
