Job Description

As an Assembly Technician, you will measure products pulled for assembly, perform visual inspections, and clean components while taking internal clearance measurements. You will be responsible for part marking using chemical or laser etching equipment and delivering finished products for quality verification or shipment. Additionally, you will complete inspection reports and shop travelers as required. The role requires proficiency in basic math to ensure product specifications are met, as well as the ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Measure and inspect products for assembly.
  • Perform visual inspections and clean components.
  • Take internal clearance measurements.
  • Mark parts using chemical or laser etching equipment.
  • Deliver finished products for quality verification or shipment.
  • Complete inspection reports and shop travelers.
  • Perform basic math calculations to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Read and interpret drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency with calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, safety rules, and operating instructions.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience in mechanical assembly.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes and environments.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to frequently lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift 70 lbs.
  • Finger dexterity.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in bearing assembly is preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Issaquah, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
