Vision for the Role: Hill Country Bible Church is looking for a motivated and intentional Kids Ministry Lead to provide vision, leadership, and spiritual direction for a dynamic ministry that equips kids to know, love, and follow Jesus. This role oversees engaging, age-appropriate programming, develops and supports volunteers, and partners with parents to lay a strong spiritual foundation that transforms the next generation and impacts families for Christ.

We’re looking for someone who:
- Provide vision and leadership for the Kids Ministry, ensuring programs align with the church’s mission and values.
- Create and deliver lessons from God’s Word, owning the scope and sequence of biblical curriculum to ensure a cohesive and intentional spiritual development plan for children.
- Oversee the planning and execution of age-appropriate curriculum for children from birth through elementary school, fostering spiritual growth and biblical understanding.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of volunteers to serve effectively in children’s ministry roles, cultivating a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all children during ministry activities.
- Partner with parents, offering resources and support to help them disciple their children at home.
- Organize and lead special events, including camps, summer programs, and family-focused gatherings, to encourage community engagement and spiritual development.
- Manage the children’s ministry budget, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources.
- Collaborate with church leadership and other ministry teams to ensure alignment of vision and seamless integration of children’s ministry into the broader church community.
- Regularly evaluate and adapt Kids Ministry programs to meet the evolving needs of children and families.
- Build relationships with children and families, creating a welcoming environment that encourages participation and connection within the church.
Requirements:
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, ministry, child development, or a related field, or equivalent experience in children’s ministry leadership.
- 3-5 years of experience leading or serving in a children’s ministry, with a strong understanding of children’s developmental and spiritual needs.
- Proven ability to recruit, train, and disciple volunteers in a church or nonprofit setting, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate biblical truth in a relevant and engaging manner for children.
- Physical Requirements: May sit for extended periods of time with limited walking, standing, stooping, or bending. May occasionally lift or move up to 50lbs.
