Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure they are functioning properly and safely
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices
Skills:
- Proficient in all aspects of electrical work, including low voltage, high voltage, industrial, and residential
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- Experience with power tools and other equipment used in the trade
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and safety in all work performed
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and other tradespeople
