Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An established infusion pharmacy is seeking an experienced IV Certified Pharmacy Technician for an 8-week contract with potential for contract to hire. This role is based in Antioch, TN, and involves working closely under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to prepare IV medications and manage pharmacy operations in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities include accurately filling prescriptions, preparing IV medications, assisting in final prescription checks, and coordinating medication packaging and timely delivery to customers. The technician will collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to ensure accurate data entry for reimbursement and assist Pharmacy Management with inventory control, including receiving, rotating stock, and maintaining lot and expiration records. Maintaining a clean and safe work area as well as equipment calibration checks is an essential part of this role.
Key qualifications:
- IV pharmacy technician experience required
- Valid Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license in hand
- National certification preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to work occasional Saturdays
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Occasional Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
